Zhang Junjie, assistant to non-party legislator Gao Jin Sumei, jumped bail and absconded, and Penghu stepped up vigilance to prevent illegal immigration.

Non-party legislator Gao Jin Sumei's "big accountant" Zhang Junjie jumped bail and absconded. Since his escape route was heading south, the prosecutor's office was worried that he would repeat the smuggling pattern of Xu Shaodong and You Guangde. He took a transportation boat from Taiwan to Penghu under an impersonation and then smuggled out of the country on a fishing boat. Security checks and coastline patrols have been strengthened to prevent Zhang Junjie from absconding out of the country.

In June this year, the Beijing Inspection and Quarantine Bureau indicted 24 people including Gao Jin and Zhang Junjie, alleging that Zhang was involved in other cases such as public assistant fees, association subsidies, money laundering and illegal import of Chinese-made rapid screening, and asked Zhang Junjie to be sentenced to more than 16 years in prison. After Zhang was transferred to trial, the court ordered him to pay a bail of 10 million yuan and be monitored by technology. However, he cut off his electronic bracelet and fled on September 6. The court subsequently issued a wanted order.

Zhang Junjie was prosecuted for a corruption case and was transferred to trial. He was released on a 10 million yuan bail and wore an electronic bracelet. Late at night on the 6th, the bracelet issued a low-battery alarm. The police launched a search and found the damaged bracelet in the grass near Daan Forest Park. Zhang was missing. The prosecutors followed the lead and found that Zhang Nan left Da'an Forest Park and fled to the south. In Chiayi, a man surnamed Zhou picked up and provided a vehicle. He might have arrived in Peng by boat from Budai, Chiayi.

In addition, Zhang Junjie was found to be involved in another espionage case. It is understood that the prosecutor's office has been investigating the national security line for more than 10 years and suspects Zhang and others of accepting Chinese funds and developing a communist espionage organization in Taiwan. Zhang Junjie has been accompanying Gao Jin Sumei’s team to Beijing, Yunnan and other places for exchanges for a long time. His contacts include the Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council and the Chinese Ethnic Affairs System. Zhang once served as the president of the Xia Chao Federation, the secretary-general of the China Unification Alliance, and the executive director of the Aboriginal Tribe Task Force. After entering the Gaofin Congressional Office in 2002, he has long participated in exchanges and activities with China and is regarded as one of Gao's core staff.
