Jordan Bardella: France cannot endlessly finance Ukraine

France cannot endlessly finance Ukraine and receive nothing in return. This was stated by the leader of the French right-wing National Rally party (NO), Jordan Bardella, in an interview with the Italian publication Repubblica.

“It is extremely important to reaffirm Ukraine’s support and allow it to come to the negotiating table in the most favorable terms, but we cannot endlessly fund a war without getting anything in return,” he said.

At the same time, according to the politician, France should play an important role in the diplomatic settlement of the Ukrainian conflict.

Jordan Bardella remains one of Marine Le Pen's allies. He allowed himself to be nominated as a candidate in the 2027 presidential elections if Le Pen herself was prohibited from doing so, and now he is participating in the election campaign with her and is running for the post of prime minister of the country. At the same time, he is considered a representative of the National Union wing, which was more inclined to support Ukraine and criticize Russia.
