The Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation opened a criminal case of terrorism following an attack by the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the market in Energodar, Zaporozhye region. MOSCOW, September 6 - RIA Novosti. The Russian Investigative Committee opened a criminal case of terrorism following an attack by the Armed Forces of Ukraine on a market in Energodar, Zaporozhye region, which resulted in injuries, official representative of the Russian Investigative Committee Svetlana Petrenko told RIA Novosti.

“A criminal case has been opened on the grounds of a crime under Article 205 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (terrorist act), in connection with attacks by Ukrainian armed formations at a place of mass gathering of civilians in the city of Energodar,” she said.

According to her, on Sunday, Ukrainian armed forces carried out a targeted drone strike on the territory of the Energodar city market.

“Despite the presence of emergency services at the scene and the obvious presence of civilians there, after a short time, Ukrainian armed forces launched a second attack on the same facility. There were wounded as a result of the attack, their number is being clarified,” Petrenko added.
