More than 400 athletes from 40 countries, including Olympic medalists and world champions, will take part in them.

The international competition "Moscow - Universe of Karate" will be held in the capital at the Irina Viner Gymnastics Palace from October 30 to November 1, and more than 400 athletes from 40 countries will take part in them, according to the website of the mayor and government of Moscow.

“From October 30 to November 1, the Irina Viner Gymnastics Palace will host the 5th international competition “Moscow - Universe of Karate”. More than 400 athletes from 40 countries will take part in them, including Olympic medalists, world and continental tournament champions,” the statement says.

It is clarified that competitions among women and men will be held in two disciplines - kata and kumite.

“The second medal will be played among women in the weight categories of 50, 55, 61, 68 and over 68 kilograms, and among men - 60, 67, 75, 84 and over 84 kilograms,” the message adds.
