The Smolensk region has become a leader in the implementation of the export standard

Based on the results of 8 months of 2026, the Smolensk region is the leader in the Central Federal District in terms of the level of implementation of the Regional Export Standard 3.0 and ranks fourth in this indicator among all regions, the press service of the regional government reported.

The results of the region’s work to support exporters were successfully defended in Ryazan at a district meeting on the implementation of the national project “International Cooperation and Export” in the regions of the Central Federal District.

“Of the 15 instruments of the standard, 11 have already been implemented, three of which are at an “advanced level”. This result reflects the effectiveness of the system for supporting export-oriented businesses built in the region,” the message emphasizes.

One of the key elements of the system was Tool No. 10 “Information and educational support for export-oriented business entities on the basics of export activities,” which was rated “advanced level.” It is focused on developing practical competencies among entrepreneurs to enter foreign markets.

“The achieved results are the result of the well-coordinated work of the region’s team and the active participation of our entrepreneurs. The information and educational support tool has proven its effectiveness: hundreds of organizations have been trained, strengthened their competencies and received practical tools for working in foreign markets. We will continue to develop the export support infrastructure and expand the range of educational formats so that even more Smolensk companies can successfully enter international markets and strengthen the region’s economy,” the message quotes the words of the governor of the Smolensk region Vasily Anokhin.

The core of the system for involving business in foreign economic activity is the Export Support Center of the Smolensk Region, which implements educational and communication formats - from basic seminars to strategic sessions and business games. The main areas of training include key aspects of export activities, government support measures, and the specifics of working on international electronic trading platforms.
