The changes are associated with an increase in the maximum base for calculating insurance premiums.

Sick leave will be issued electronically from 2022.

MOSCOW, September 6 – RIA Novosti. The maximum amount of temporary disability benefits will increase by more than a thousand rubles per day in 2027, reports the Social Fund of Russia.

“The increase in the maximum possible amount of sick leave is provided for in the draft budget of the Social Fund of Russia for the next three years. In 2026: up to 6827.4 rubles. <...> In 2027: up to 7860.27 rubles. In 2028: up to 8489.04 rubles,” says the publication on the Telegram channel.

These changes were explained by an increase in the maximum base for calculating insurance premiums.

These payments are prescribed to working citizens in case of illness or injury, caring for a sick family member, quarantine, prosthetics or treatment in a sanatorium after hospitalization. The amount depends on earnings for the two years preceding the year of disability and the length of insurance coverage.
