Vladislav Khovalyg officially took office as head of the Republic of Tyva.

The inauguration ceremony took place on Monday at the National Music and Drama Theater in Kyzyl. The inauguration ceremony is broadcast on the official VKontakte page of the Tuva24 TV channel.

“The popularly elected head of the Republic of Tuva, Vladislav Tovarishtayovich Khovalyg, has taken office,” said the Chairman of the Supreme Khural of Tuva, Davaa Kan-ool, during the ceremony.

Khovalyg (United Russia) took the post of head of Tuva in September 2021, and received 90.95% of the votes in the elections held this year. Egor Chistyakov (LDPR), Artysh Irgit (New People), Lodoy-Damba Kuular (Communist Party of the Russian Federation), Asiat Chanzan (A Just Russia) were also nominated as candidates for the post of head of the region - each of them received less than 3% of the votes.
