According to data submitted by People Power Party Rep. Kim Hee-jeong, chairman of the National Assembly's Education Committee, from the Private School Teachers' Pension Service on the 30th, the total number of cases of illegal receipt of private school teachers' pension from 2022 to August of this year was 211, and the amount reached 3.837 billion won.

Of these, the amount that has not yet been recovered is approximately 800 million won, and the overdue interest alone amounts to 100 million won. There were 9 cases where the statute of limitations had expired and the loss amounted to 560 million won.

When looking at the reasons for receiving illegal benefits, the largest number of cases were 118 cases where pensions were received even after losing the right to benefits due to death, etc.

There were 58 cases of receiving benefits without reporting reappointment, and 35 cases of hiding the fact even after the punishment was confirmed while in office.
