The Chenggongli three-dimensional parking lot in Yongkang District, Tainan, which was built with an investment of 387 million yuan, was officially opened today. It is the eighth forward-looking three-dimensional parking lot completed in the city. It provides 199 car compartments and 66 motorcycle compartments. It adopts a "multi-target development" approach and combines an activity center, a parent-child leisure center and commercial space.

When presiding over the launch ceremony, Tainan Mayor Huang Weizhe emphasized that since 2019, a total of 13 three-dimensional parking lots have been built through funding subsidies from the central government’s forward-looking plan, with 8 in operation and 5 under construction. In the future, they will continue to strive for central resources, revitalize public land, increase parking supply, and improve living functions.

Huang Weizhe mentioned that Yongkang is the most populous administrative district in Tainan, with nearly 240,000 people. The demand for parking is very urgent. Land was obtained through urban renewal to three-dimensionalize the original 68 parking spaces and increase it to 199 car spaces and 66 motorcycle spaces. Provide parking discounts for local residents; a new Chenggongli Activity Center is set up on the first floor, approximately 171 square meters, to improve the original lack of space. Combined with social housing and other facilities, it takes into account people's parking, living, and leisure activities, and provides more diverse public services.

The three-dimensional parking lot has an overall plan of 1 underground floor, 7 above-ground floors, and the top floor to provide parking services. There is also commercial space on the first floor. Investment is currently being solicited. In the future, convenience stores, restaurants and other businesses can be introduced to supplement the surrounding living functions. The parent-child leisure pavilion on the second floor of approximately 191 square meters will be renovated by the Social Affairs Bureau.

Transportation Secretary Wang Mingde pointed out that since 2019, we have been striving to obtain subsidies from the central government's forward-looking plan to build a total of 13 three-dimensional parking lots, with a total subsidy amount of 2.5 billion yuan. Through multi-target development, public service facilities and commercial spaces have been set up internally to increase parking supply while also improving the efficiency of public land use.

Wang Mingde said that Jingzhong No. 2 Village has launched a public urban renewal project in 2022, and has successively developed social housing, commercial buildings and residential buildings. The city government has simultaneously used public land to build a three-dimensional parking lot in Chenggongli, Yongkang District. The central government subsidized 100 million yuan and the local government raised 287 million yuan. The construction period is about three years and three months.
