وتابع السيسي، بحسب بيان لرئاسة الجمهورية "جهود إعادة إحياء معالم القاهرة الإسلامية والتاريخية، حيث اِستعرض وزير الأوقاف الموقف التنفيذي لإعادة إحياء وترميم العديد من المساجد والأضرحة التاريخية، مُشيرا إلى أن ما يتم تنفيذه من جهودextend لتشهد فتح المزيد من المسارات السياحية المتكاملة للربط بين العديد من المواقع والمعالم التاريخية والتراثية".

ولفت وزير الأوقاف إلى أنه بالانتهاء من مختلف ما يتم تنفيذه من أعمال تتعلق بإعادة إحياء المعالم التاريخية، سيصبح "قلب القاهرة" مزارا مفتوحا يستقطب المزيد من الحركة السياحية.
