September 7th: see what’s open and what’s closed on the holiday in Campina Grande
Public offices, shopping malls and Justice bodies have altered operations due to the holiday celebrating Brazil's Independence.

The Independence holiday changes the operation of commerce, banks and services in Campina Grande this Monday (7). The date will also have civic parades.
The parades take place in the Center, at 8am, and in Galante, at 2pm. The Partage and Design Mall shopping malls open, while Cirne Center and Edson Diniz close.
Banks, post offices and municipal offices close on Monday (7). The Federal Court will operate on a shift basis and the parks will be open on weekends.
The buses run with a Sunday fleet, with 30% reinforcement on 22 lines. Sections of Avenida Floriano Peixoto will be closed for the parade.

Brazil's independence is celebrated this Monday (7) and the date is considered a national holiday. As a result, some establishments and services operate with altered opening hours. In Campina Grande, in Agreste da Paraíba, shopping malls must open, while bank branches and public offices do not operate.
On Monday (7), Campina Grande also hosts the traditional civic parade in honor of Brazil's Independence. The event marks the end of Fatherland Week and starts at 8 am, on Avenida Floriano Peixoto.

In addition to the parade in the Center, another is scheduled to take place from 2pm, in the Galante district. On September 13th, São José da Mata will also have a parade, starting at 2:30 pm. In 2026, the celebration's theme is "Equity, sustainability and technologies: connections that transform".
During the holiday, some municipal services will operate normally, while others will have special hours or will be closed.

🛍️ Shopping malls
Shopping malls in Campina Grande will have changed opening hours during the Independence weekend, with the schedule varying depending on each establishment:
📍Partage Shopping
Partage Shopping will operate normally on Monday (7). The establishment will be open from 10am to 10pm.
📍Cirne Center
The Cirne Center Shopping Center will be closed on Monday (7).
📍Design Mall
The Design Mall will be open during the holiday. On Monday (7), the stores and food court will be open from 12pm to 6pm.
The gym and Bora Rooftop opening hours will be announced by the establishments themselves.
📍Edson Diniz Shopping Mall
On Monday (7), Shopping Edson Diniz will be closed.
🛍️ Commerce
The Trade Union reported that it should only announce on Monday (7) how it will operate. According to the entity, the position is still pending due to an agreement under discussion.
🏦Banks
According to the calendar of the Brazilian Federation of Banks (Febraban), there will be no service at bank branches in Campina Grande on Monday (7), due to the national holiday.
Bank compensations will also not be carried out on the date, including transfers via TED. PIX, however, continues to operate normally during the holiday.
🌳Parks
On Monday (7), Campina Grande parks will operate during weekend hours:
Children's Park: 5am to 6pm
Liberdade Park: 5am to 6pm
Vila Olímpica Plínio Lemos: 5am to 6pm
⚖️Justice
According to the calendar of the Federal Court of Paraíba (JFPB), the judicial units of Campina Grande will operate on duty during the September 7th holiday.
Procedural deadlines due on the holiday date will be extended to the first following business day.
✉️ Post Office
On Monday (7), there will be no service or delivery activities at post offices in Campina Grande, due to the holiday.
Business hours on Saturday (5) will normally take place at agencies that operate on the weekend. Delivery activities scheduled for the day will also follow the schedule.
The Post Office will reopen normally on Tuesday (8).
🏢 Public Offices
The City of Campina Grande decreed an optional point in the municipality's public offices during the Monday holiday (7). On this date, only essential services will continue to operate normally, such as urban cleaning and health care.
🚌 Bus
According to the Campina Grande Traffic and Public Transport Superintendency (STTP), Campina Grande's public transport will operate on Sundays on Monday (7). From 6am to 2pm, 22 bus lines will have a 30% boost.
After this period, operations return to normal for holidays and Sundays.
STTP also informed that lines 040, 092 and 245 will operate until 10:50 pm to meet Partage Shopping's demand.
Avenida Marechal Floriano Peixoto will be closed during the day for the civic parade on September 7th. Parking will also be prohibited on Rua Treze de Maio and Rua Coronel João Lourenço Porto.
