Inspection Against Immigrant Smuggling in 81 Provinces: 19 Organizers Caught

According to the statement made by the Ministry, inspections were carried out in 81 provinces to combat immigrant smugglers and irregular migration.

During the inspections coordinated by the Directorate of Immigration Management, General Directorate of Security, Department of Combating Immigrant Smuggling and Border Gates, Gendarmerie General Command, Department of Combating Immigrant Smuggling and Human Trafficking, and Coast Guard Command, 7 thousand 334 places were checked with 15 thousand 905 personnel and 5 thousand 11 teams.

During the inspections where the identity of 279 thousand 575 people were checked, 19 migrant smuggling organizers and 230 irregular immigrants were caught.

Procedures for the repatriation of irregular immigrants have been initiated.
