The Chinese Ethnology Society’s Chinese National Community Exhibition Research Professional Committee was established in Kashgar

The founding meeting of the Chinese Ethnology Society’s Chinese Ethnic Community Exhibition Research Professional Committee was recently held in Kashgar, Xinjiang. Relevant responsible comrades, experts and scholars from ethnic groups, cultural and tourism departments, cultural and museum units, and university scientific research institutions from all over the country attended the meeting.

The meeting announced the establishment of the Chinese Ethnology Society’s Chinese National Community Exhibition Research Professional Committee, and pointed out that this is an important measure to solidify the awareness of the Chinese national community and promote the construction of the Chinese national community. It is necessary to deeply grasp the historical position and mission of its establishment, systematically summarize the empirical results and methods of Zhulao exhibition practice, and jointly create a new situation in Zhulao exhibition business.

The responsible comrades of the Special Committee said that the Special Committee will insist on letting cultural relics speak, let history speak out, and let culture infiltrate people's hearts, and strive to make exhibitions a vivid classroom that solidifies the consciousness of the Chinese nation's community, and make cultural museums a powerful position to solidify the Chinese soul in the heart of China. Focusing on this goal, the special committee will focus on four aspects: focusing on the academic foundation, striving to build a "source" of theoretical innovation; focusing on practical needs, striving to create the "main engine" that leads the development of the industry; focusing on discourse expression, striving to become a "new highland" serving the national strategy; focusing on collaborative linkage, striving to create a "big ecology" of co-construction, sharing and integration.

The meeting announced the list of members of the special committee. The leaders of the Chinese Society of Ethnology, together with the leaders of the Ethnic Culture Palace Museum and Kashgar University, jointly awarded the special committee the plaque. The special committee has initially formed an interdisciplinary, cross-regional, and cross-institutional organizational structure, which will effectively integrate the forces of academia and industry, promote the transformation of Zhulao Exhibition from decentralized exploration to collaborative innovation, and from experience accumulation to academic consciousness, and contribute professional wisdom and strength to the construction of China's independent historical material system, discourse system, and theoretical system of the Chinese nation community, and to promote the construction of the Chinese nation community.
