Дипломат напомнил, что взаимодействие стран Арктического совета сегодня "подморожено". С подачи Запада остается прерванным политический диалог, не проходят заседания комитета старших должностных лиц, не используется инструмент поддержки проектов Арктического совета. Активность продолжается в основном на экспертном уровне, а рабочие органы встречаются только в удаленном формате.

"Такая ситуация, конечно же, наносит серьезный ущерб эффективности совета, подрывает его международный авторитет и привлекательность для внерегиональных стран-наблюдателей", - сказал Масленников.

Он добавил, что Россия будет стараться восстановить полноценную работу Арктического совета.
