Egypt.. A new rise in the death toll from the Dawais accident

The governor immediately ordered the vehicle to be seized and its license withdrawn, directing the General Administration of Traffic in Menoufia to take decisive and urgent legal measures regarding the incident.

He also sent strongly worded letters to the car driver, warning him against violating traffic rules and underestimating the lives of passengers and citizens.

In a related context, the Governor of Menoufia stressed the need to intensify massive traffic campaigns on the main roads, axes and vital entrances in the governorate, to control serious violations, most notably driving in the opposite direction and crossing traffic lines, stressing the strict application of the law to deter violators and impose traffic discipline in a way that guarantees public safety for all.
