Warning from the Central Bank of Egypt regarding banking fraud

The Central Bank explained that fraudsters resort to deluding victims into believing that they are official employees in banks or various government and private agencies, with the aim of luring citizens to obtain their confidential data related to their accounts and bank cards.

The bank confirmed that the first and last purpose of these attempts is to steal all the money, calling on everyone to exercise the highest levels of caution and caution, and stressing the necessity of not disclosing any vital information or activation codes to anyone under any circumstances.

The text of the warning message that the bank addressed to citizens stated: “Do not give it to them yourself and always maintain the confidentiality of your data,” indicating that maintaining the security of funds begins with the citizen’s own awareness of not sharing his sensitive data with any party that requests it via phone or social media.
