Foreign Minister Lin Jialong went to the United States to open the Phoenix Office, witnessing the establishment of Taiwan's 14th mission in the United States.
Foreign Minister Lin Jialong arrived in Phoenix, Arizona, the United States, and attended the unveiling ceremony of the Taiwan Office in Phoenix, witnessing the official establishment of Taiwan's 14th mission in the United States. He pointed out that as TSMC invests in setting up factories and brings supply chains, partners and Taiwanese talents to Arizona, the connection between Taiwan and the United States will become increasingly closer, and two-way investment, business trips and exchanges will continue to increase. Lin Jialong revealed that after returning to the country at the end of last year, he held a meeting to discuss the establishment of the office. He thanked President Lai Qingde, the US State Department and Arizona Governor Hao Kaiti for their support. It took half a year of preparations to complete the opening. The ceremony included Lan Ying, executive director of the American Institute in Taiwan, Governor Hao Kaiti, Phoenix Mayor Gary, TSMC Arizona factory CEO Zhuang Ruiping and his team, as well as Taiwanese overseas Chinese who attended the ceremony. During this trip, Lin Jialong also led business representatives to understand the investment environment, witnessed the signing of a memorandum of cooperation between the National Federation of Innovation and Entrepreneurship and the Arizona Department of Commerce, and visited TSMC's Arizona factory. He emphasized that Phoenix City is the practice of "New Flying Geese Theory and International Joint Fleet", with leading companies leading the supply chain to the world, and government counterparts assisting in expanding business opportunities, global layout and resource connections. Looking to the future, China Airlines and STARLUX Airlines have opened direct flights from Taipei to Phoenix. We look forward to the new office serving Chinese people working, living, studying and traveling in the United States, accompanying more Taiwanese companies to take root in the country, and allowing more American friends to know Taiwan.
