This year's National Day fireworks will be held in Taitung, with the theme of "The Ark of the World: South Island Taiwan" and combined with the music of the South Island aboriginal people. The display is expected to last for 30 minutes. Among them, the 24-inch fireworks are the largest in history. They were put on trial last night (29th), attracting nearly a thousand people to watch. The Taitung County Government has compiled recommended viewing locations and relevant information for viewing fireworks at sea for the public’s reference in advance planning.
The Taitung County Government said that based on last night’s test display of fireworks, in addition to the main viewing areas of the Seaside Park and Makabahi Park adjacent to the main venue (an international landmark), there are also many open areas with wide views around the city that can be used as reference for viewing locations, including the sidewalk of Mahengheng Avenue (near the intersection with Boai Road or Zhejiang Road), the Taitung County Environmental Protection Bureau Facing the turf space of the parking lot (next to the intersection of Linhai Road and Xinyi Road), Taitung County Stadium (grandstand area), etc.; if you want to enjoy it from a distance and bring the Taitung landscape into your field of vision, you can consider the southern seawall of Fugang Fishing Port, Taitung Lingxiao Hall, Renyi South Road Embankment Pedestrian Walkway (near Donghai Sports Park), etc., which are also good viewing areas.
The Tourism Office pointed out that in addition to viewing from land, you can also participate in a boat viewing experience from Fugang Fishing Port to watching fireworks at sea. Taitung Shipping Company has specially launched a fireworks viewing itinerary at sea. The itinerary is expected to go out from Fugang Fishing Port. The ticket price is 850 yuan per person. The information on boarding is mainly based on various shipping companies. Interested people directly contact three shipping companies, including Longhong Shipping, Fanli Shipping, and Changjie Shipping, to purchase tickets to experience a unique experience different from viewing on land.
The tourist office also reminds that ship navigation is affected by weather conditions. Each shipping company will announce the latest boarding information on the official website two days before the event. Passengers are advised to pay attention to relevant announcements before departure.
The county government reminds that on October 10th, the China Bridge is expected to have traffic control from 6:30 to 9:00 pm. Passengers going to Fugang Fishing Port should keep abreast of the latest traffic control developments to facilitate a smooth journey. A large number of people and vehicles are expected to come in during the National Day fireworks event. It is recommended that the public plan their transportation methods and viewing locations in advance before setting off, and check the latest weather and wind direction with the Central Weather Bureau. When viewing on embankments, high places or other non-main venue areas, pay special attention to night lighting, surrounding terrain and their own safety.
