In the Smolensk region, the regions opened three agrotechnological classes at Roslavl school No. 9

MOSCOW, September 21 - RIA Novosti. Three agricultural technology classes have been opened at Roslavl secondary school No. 9 in the Smolensk region, reported the region’s governor Vasily Anokhin.

“A new agricultural culture is being formed among young people. We are carrying out systematic work to train qualified personnel for the agro-industrial complex. Our guys should see prospects in the Smolensk region and connect their future with the development of their native land,” Anokhin wrote in his channel on the Max platform.

Agricultural classes are being created in the region within the framework of the national project “Technological Ensuring Food Security” and the federal project “Personnel in the Agro-Industrial Complex”.

Three agricultural technology classes have been opened at the Roslavl school: two in the seventh grade, where 53 students will study, and one in the tenth grade for 20 students. Classes will be organized in the specialization “Genetics and Plant Breeding” with in-depth study of biology, chemistry, physics and mathematics. High school students will be able to try themselves as an operator of a modern tractor, and using virtual reality glasses they will be able to see how a dairy or greenhouse production works.

Particular attention in agricultural classes is paid to practical training. Regular excursions to agricultural enterprises, meetings with industry professionals and participation in project events are planned. It is noted that graduates of these classes will receive an additional ten points towards the Unified State Exam upon admission to specialized universities in the country.

In 2026, agrotechnological classes will be implemented in Gagarin, Monastyrshchina, Pochinka, Roslavl, Safonov and Yartsevo. By 2030, such classes are planned to be opened in all municipalities of the region.
