Japanese media Sponichi Annex reported that Kura Sushi was originally scheduled to hold a Giikawa joint event from August 21 to September 30, providing character dolls and other limited products as gifts. However, the company's investigation found that one of the store employees was suspected of misappropriating event gifts, so it decided to announce the suspension of the event on the 5th.

In fact, related gifts have appeared in large numbers on second-hand trading platforms since late August, causing netizens to question the source of the goods. Posts on social platforms have also appeared one after another suspecting that Tibetan Sushi employees are involved in inappropriate behavior. Zang Sushi later confirmed that it had indeed discovered that an employee of a store was suspected of embezzling gifts, and has now consulted the police for assistance regarding the incident.

After the joint event was suspended, Kuro Sushi posted an apology notice at the entrance of all stores across Japan on the 6th, saying, "Due to the discovery of inappropriate behavior by our employees, we decided to suspend the event and deeply apologize for this." To express its apology, the company also announced a 10% discount on all items on the 6th and 7th, with a 10% discount to apologize.

However, the sudden announcement of the event still had a significant impact on the store. A store in Tokyo yesterday arranged for staff to guard the entrance and constantly explain the situation to customers. Many consumers originally came here to obtain Jiikawa co-branded products.
