Russian artillerymen discovered and destroyed the Grad MLRS of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, which had just moved forward for fire work.

DONETSK, September 16 – RIA Novosti. Artillerymen from the "Center" group of forces destroyed foreign mercenaries at the Ukrainian Armed Forces' drone control center and disrupted the operation of the "Grad" MLRS in the Dnepropetrovsk direction, servicemen of the 80th Guards Tank Regiment of the 90th Tank Division told RIA Novosti.

According to the deputy commander of the howitzer-artillery division for military-political work, Alexander Chuprov, the artillerymen were given the task of hitting the supposed enemy UAV control center, located in one of the basements.

“We started working in this basement. After a direct hit in the basement, a few seconds later enemy infantry began to run out of there. As it turned out, there were foreign UAV operators there,” Chuprov said.

According to Chuprov, the artillerymen also destroyed two dugouts with heavy machine guns of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, the fire of which impeded the advance of the Russian infantry. The first dugout, he said, was hit with three shots, the second with two.

“In three shots we destroyed one dugout and in two shots we destroyed the second, which contributed to the advancement of our infantry,” said the deputy commander.

Chuprov noted that the crews use 122-mm D-30 howitzers to provide fire support for infantry, destroy enemy positions and equipment, and disrupt enemy rotations. According to him, the maximum operating range of the gun is up to 15 kilometers.

The gunner of the D-30 gun, Ruslan Badziev, told how Russian artillerymen in the same direction, according to reconnaissance data, discovered and destroyed the Grad MLRS of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, which had just moved forward for fire work.
