Defeat the United States in foursomes match play on the second day of the Presidents Cup

“I was not intimidated by my faith in my partner.”

Kim Si-woo and Kim Joo-hyung, who teamed up to win on the second day of the Presidents Cup, a golf competition between the international team and the U.S. team, admired each other's natural chemistry and promised to play their best.

The International team's Kim Si-woo and Kim Joo-hyung won a complete victory over the U.S. team's Patrick Cantlay and Zander Chopley in the foursome match play on the second day of the Presidents Cup held at Course 3 (par 70) of the Medina Country Club in Chicago, Illinois, on the 26th (Korean time) with three holes remaining and four holes to go.

Kim Si-woo and Kim Joo-hyung, who teamed up to win the previous day's Four-Ball Match Placer, combined for 2 points.

After the game, Kim Si-woo said, "I think I played basically the same as usual," and "Kim Joo-hyung and I are close, so we can refer to each other and exchange opinions on club selection."

He added, “Kim Joo-hyung reads the green well, so he helps me a lot with putts,” adding, “I received a lot of help reading the putt line today as well.”

Kim Joo-hyung also emphasized, "I think I get along really well with Kim Si-woo. It's hard to explain exactly why, but we get along naturally," and added, "I think there's a lot of comfort that comes from trusting that we can clearly support each other."

He then emphasized, "Even if my putt didn't go well, I had faith that Kim Si-woo would make a good tee shot on the next hole. We get along really well in that area."

Kim Joo-hyung added, "Even if we make a mistake, we feel sorry for each other, but psychologically we don't feel intimidated. I feel comfortable believing that I have a partner behind me. Today was a really big win for us."

“Mentally, the entire international team is united,” he added. “We have good momentum now. It is important to continue to capitalize on the momentum going forward.”
