Coway collaborates with Werobotics to launch rental walking assistance wearable robot

Coway announced on the 22nd that it has unveiled a 'walking assistance wearable robot' that helps seniors walk and will officially launch it next month.

The new wearable robot, introduced in collaboration with the global robotics company 'Weobotics', assists the user's walking strength to help them walk comfortably. It can be used for various activities such as walking, climbing stairs, and hiking.

It weighs 1.6kg and can be used over everyday clothes by wearing the main body on the waist and connecting the leg straps.

It supports various walking modes depending on the walking environment and purpose of use, and also provides a 'smart walking report' that allows you to check walking status and changes through a dedicated application.

The new product will be released in three colors, including pebble gray, pale navy, and sand beige, and will be released as a rental-only product.

Coway makes advance consultation reservations prior to the official launch and provides a 50% discount on rental fees for two months to customers who rent the product after making a reservation.

A Coway official said, "Recently, as wearable robots have expanded into everyday life beyond medical and industrial settings, consumer interest is increasing, so we are introducing a new walking assistance wearable robot that helps customers walk and do activities comfortably."
