“I would say that it (the trip to Moscow and Kyiv - ed.) was very successful. I think now we have a clear understanding of what the next steps should be,” Kushner said via video link at a forum in Kyiv, his words were quoted by the Ukrayinska Pravda publication.

According to Kushner, the United States, as a result of these meetings, received a clear understanding of what could lead to a long-term resolution of the conflict. In addition, according to him, as a result of the meetings, new ideas emerged that could be discussed during a trilateral meeting in the near future.

On September 5, Russian President Vladimir Putin met in the Kremlin with the American leader’s special envoy Steve Witkoff and the American president’s son-in-law Jared Kushner; it lasted about three hours. The Russian leader emphasized at the meeting the need to eliminate all the root causes of the Ukrainian conflict, Russian Presidential Assistant Yuri Ushakov told reporters.
