The organizational reorganization plan is to change the current system of 1 office, 3 bureaus, 2 officers, 16 departments, 64 departments, to 1 office, 2 bureaus, 3 officers, 14 departments, 1 promotion group, 68 departments. The new promotion group is a temporary organization to redesign the school support system. The quota will increase by a total of 13 people, including 8 from the Hansi Organization.

Looking at the main contents of the reform plan, first of all, an educational activity protection officer (level 4) and a communication cooperation officer (level 4) who will be in charge of communication with the local community will be placed directly under the superintendent of education.

The Educational Activities Protection Officer oversees all tasks from prevention of educational activity infringement to recovery. The Communication Cooperation Officer assists the Superintendent of Education through existing public information work and cooperation with Jeju Island, the Provincial Council, and the local community.

The rank of auditor will be raised from level 4 to level 3 in order to restore the highest level of integrity and stabilize the educational field through prompt investigation and processing of issues.

In particular, the School Support Policy Promotion Team will be established in the Planning and Coordination Office to find on-site support that schools need and complete the one-year reorganization work. In the second stage of 2028, the new school support system will be completed by reorganizing the Office of Education and its direct agencies.

In addition, an integrated student support department will be established so that students can receive the support they need in one place. The department will be reorganized by integrating functions such as student safety, emotional support, and school life support that are currently dispersed across several departments.

The 4·3 Education Department will reorganize the Democratic Citizenship Education Department to take charge of strengthening peace and human rights education, which is the value of the 4·3 Incident, as well as Jeju understanding education, democratic citizenship education, and ecological transition education.

The Administrative Bureau and the Safety Bureau will be integrated into the Public Administration and Safety Bureau, student safety work will be relocated to the Student Integration Support Department, and safety planning functions such as natural disasters and occupational safety and health will be relocated to the Labor-Management and Safety Department.

This organizational reorganization plan, for which the legislative notice was completed by the 10th, will go into operation from January 1 of next year after legal deliberation and deliberation and resolution by the Jeju Provincial Council.
