A conflict between elderly people occurred in a private nursing home in Nanchang High-tech Zone and two people were injured. A joint investigation team was set up locally.

According to the "Nanchang High-tech Zone Release" Weibo message, on September 16, the Nanchang High-tech Industrial Development Zone Joint Investigation Team issued a notice stating that in response to the conflict between the elderly living in the Younian Life Nursing Home, a private nursing home in the High-tech Zone, the High-tech Zone immediately established a joint investigation team composed of civil affairs, public security, health, and territorial towns (divisions) to carry out investigation and handling. The relevant situation is now reported as follows:

At 20:52 on August 31, 2026, the nursing staff of the hospital discovered that Lv Moumou (male, born in September 1936) and Zhao Moumou (male, born in August 1957) were injured during an inspection. The hospital immediately called 120 emergency hotline, sent the injured to the hospital for treatment, and simultaneously informed the families of both parties involved. At 22:08, Lv Moumou’s family reported the case to the public security agency, which has accepted the investigation. After treatment, the two elderly people were in stable condition. On September 10, with the consent of the hospital and his family, the nursing home took Lu Moumou back and continued to provide care. At present, Lu Moumou is recovering well. Zhao Moumou has been taken home by his family to take care of him, and his health has returned to normal.

After the incident, the civil affairs department of the High-tech Zone has interviewed Younian Life Nursing Home and ordered it to make immediate rectifications. Subsequent actions will be handled in accordance with the law and regulations based on the investigation results. In the next step, Gaozhou District will once again carry out special inspections on the safety management of elderly care institutions across the district, consolidate the main responsibilities for the safety of elderly care institutions, and effectively protect the legitimate rights and interests of the elderly.
