Northern Military District veterans received the right to an extraordinary medical examination

Northern Military District veterans can undergo medical examination immediately after returning to their region, without time or age restrictions, Ekaterina Stenyakina, a member of the State Duma Committee on Labor, Social Policy and Veterans Affairs, told RIA Novosti.

“Now there are no time or age restrictions. Now we have general rules, according to which medical examinations are carried out once every three years for citizens from 18 to 39 years old and annually, starting from 40 years old. So, for participants in a special operation, medical examination will begin immediately after the medical organization receives information about the person’s arrival in their region,” Stenyakina said.

She says this means there is no need to wait until you reach your next birthday. The deputy added that the veteran must be provided with a full set of procedures immediately after his return home.

Stenyakina recalled that since the middle of last summer, Russia has established a special procedure for conducting medical examinations for combat veterans discharged from military service after participating in the Military Military District.

She also drew attention to the fact that current labor legislation gives a working veteran the right to be released from work to undergo medical examination while maintaining average earnings.
