Banks are operating mobile branches for customer convenience during the Chuseok holiday. We have prepared currency exchange services and various events for overseas travelers, and are also promoting financial support for small and medium-sized businesses in preparation for increased demand for funds around the holidays.

◇ Operating a mobile store at a highway rest area… Support for new card exchange, etc.

According to the banking sector on the 24th, major banks will operate mobile branches for returning customers on the 23rd and 24th.

KB Kookmin Bank operates a bus-type mobile store at the Giheung Rest Area on the Gyeongbu Expressway toward Busan. With an automated teller machine (ATM), you can perform simple financial tasks such as bank transfers and bank accounts, and even exchange new banknotes.

Shinhan Bank opens a mobile store 'Bangbird' on the downbound line of Hwaseong Rest Area on the West Coast Expressway. It also supports automated teller machine (ATM) operations and new currency exchange.

Hana Bank operates a ‘Moving Hana Bank’ mobile branch at the Yangjae Meeting Square rest area (down line). There is no ATM installed, and two employees are stationed to assist with tasks such as exchanging new banknotes.

Woori Bank and NH Nonghyup Bank operate mobile branches at the Manghyang Rest Area on the lower line and the Jungbu Expressway Hanam Dream Rest Area, respectively.

Woori Bank also plans to distribute notices and free gifts to prevent financial fraud such as voice phishing at its mobile branches.

IBK Industrial Bank of Korea also opened a mobile branch at the Deokpyeong Rest Area on the Yeongdong Expressway toward Incheon and also operates a currency exchange booth for domestic and foreign travelers during the holiday season.

KB Kookmin Bank operates a total of 11 currency exchange centers in Incheon International Airport Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 and assists in exchanging a total of 17 currencies. Three of these are open 24 hours a day.

Shinhan Bank opens currency exchange offices at Gimpo Airport, Cheongju Airport, and Jeju Airport. ‘SOL Travel Lounge’, an unmanned currency exchange space, is also operated continuously in 7 locations, including Seoul and Pangyo.

Woori Bank also opens a currency exchange office at Incheon International Airport during the holiday season.

To celebrate Chuseok, there will be events such as prize winnings.

The banking sector is also providing financial support to small and medium-sized businesses and small business owners who may be experiencing difficulties due to increased demand for funds around the holidays.

KB Kookmin, Shinhan, Hana, and Woori Bank each supply funds worth 15.2 trillion won to small and medium-sized businesses and individual business owners. By bank, the amount is KRW 6.2 trillion for new loans and KRW 9 trillion for maturity extensions.

The period is the same from the 24th of last month to October 16th.

Loans can be made up to 1 billion won per company, and maturity extension is allowed without the condition of repaying part of the principal at maturity.

NH Nonghyup Bank will supply a total of 13.575 trillion won, including 5.075 trillion won in new funds and 8.5 trillion won in maturity extensions, by October 12.

Kakao Bank is holding an allowance event for customers aged 7 to 18 who are using the youth financial service ‘Kakao Bank Mini’ for the first time until the 30th.

In order to manage the allowance received during the holidays, customers who open a 'Mini' account for the first time during the event period will receive 5,000 won.

K-Bank will give up to 50,000 won in cash if you open a K-Bank account or ALPHA, a financial service exclusively for youth, by the 30th.
