The first "Zhijiang Cup" National Public Security College AI Innovation Competition concluded in Hangzhou

China News Service, Hangzhou, September 24 (Qian Chenfei, Zhu Ziyang, Fu Hongbo) On September 23, the first "Zhijiang Cup" National Public Security College AI Innovation Competition, hosted by the People's Public Security University of China, co-organized by the Zhejiang Provincial Public Security Department, and hosted by the Hangzhou Municipal Public Security Bureau, concluded in Hangzhou.

This competition adheres to the practical orientation of "integrating police and learning, researching to prepare for war", and closely follows the core concept of "promoting innovation through competition, promoting application through competition, and promoting combat through competition". The competition topic is directly derived from telecommunications network fraud, and combines the management and prevention of minor crimes, integrated traffic security management, low-altitude safety risk management and control and other practical public security pain points. It aims to build an integrated platform for industry, academia, research and application, and discover innovative talents in police AI. Since the launch of the event on September 4, it has attracted more than 590 teams and more than 1,600 team members from 29 public security colleges across the country to sign up for the competition. In the end, 12 teams from public security colleges across the country advanced to the finals.

The final stage adopts the "offline closed development + on-site defense and review" model to test the participating teams' technology research and development, practical adaptation and on-the-spot adaptability.

After multiple rounds of competition, the "Golden Shield Qihang" team of the People's Public Security University of China won the gold medal, the "Digital Edge" team of the Zhejiang Police College and the "Xiang Police Digital Research" team of the Hunan Police College won the silver medal, the "Yunlang" team of the People's Public Security University of China, the "Binlan Police Front" team of the Zhejiang Police College, and the "Network Intelligence No. 1 Middle School" team of the Zhengzhou Police College won the bronze medal. The remaining six teams won the winning prize.

"The competition set test questions based on real cases, which allowed us to deepen our understanding of the intelligent case handling model in the actual simulation, and also provided new ideas and methods for future public security work." Xu Hanjin, the silver medal winner in the competition and a member of the Zhejiang Police Academy's "Digital Edge" team, said in an interview.

The competition doesn't end on the field. In order to promote the implementation and transformation of the results of the competition, the winning works will be uniformly settled in the Hangzhou Police AI Ecological Platform and included in the key project support directory, with priority to enjoy platform computing power, technical guidance and other supporting resources. The organizing committee will also select outstanding projects and recommend them to actual public security units for implementation testing and application promotion, so as to truly transform the results of the competition into actual combat effectiveness of the public security forces.

Zhang Yue, captain of the application construction brigade of the Science and Technology Informatization Detachment of the Hangzhou Municipal Public Security Bureau, said that by jointly building a national AI competition exchange platform for public security colleges with the People's Public Security University of China, it can sustainably empower collaborative innovation among police, academia and research, and contribute to the creation of a new ecology of artificial intelligence applications for public security agencies across the country to be co-constructed and shared.
