The 11th Shaanxi Art Festival opens in Shangluo

China News Service, Shangluo, Shaanxi, September 16 (Reporter Alina) The opening ceremony of the 11th Shaanxi Art Festival was held in Shangluo on the evening of the 15th. This art festival will focus on presenting outstanding works created by professional literary and art troupes and mass literary and art workers in Shaanxi in the past three years. It aims to enrich the supply of literary and artistic creation, improve the level of public cultural services, promote the in-depth integration of culture and tourism through literary events, build an important platform for industry exchanges and talent cultivation, and promote the construction of a culturally powerful province.

The Shaanxi Art Festival is held every three years. This art festival is the first time that this series of activities has been held in southern Shaanxi. It will be held in Shangluo City from September 15th to October 14th. Adhering to the purpose of organizing the festival as "a grand event of art and a festival of the people", it will set up opening and closing ceremonies, Wenhua Award (provincial level) awards, Star Awards (provincial level) awards, an exhibition of outstanding art calligraphy and photography works in the province, and performances of outstanding plays to benefit the people.

This art festival also integrated local intangible cultural heritage displays into the event site, and an immersive intangible cultural heritage experience session was set up outside the opening ceremony. Shangnan folk songs, Manchuan major tunes, Zhashui fishing drums, etc. were performed in turn, showing the unique charm of Qinba folk art. The Shangluo City Intangible Cultural Heritage Food Exhibition was unveiled simultaneously, showcasing special snacks. A large number of intangible cultural heritages such as Zhashui wine culture, Shangzhou Donglongshan Dog Wami, Danfeng clay sculptures, Shangnan handmade pyrography, and Luonan straw weaving are all on display to vividly display traditional handicrafts. An intangible cultural heritage experience gallery is built that integrates folk performances, food appreciation, and skill interaction to comprehensively display the living inheritance achievements of Shangluo intangible cultural heritage.

At the same time, in order to fully implement the program purpose of "an art event and a people's festival", Shangluo City also collaborated with seven counties and districts to plan and carry out hundreds of cultural benefit performances for more than 50 days in city squares, neighborhoods, towns, villages, and scenic spots, and released the "Following the With the 11th Shaanxi Provincial Arts Festival "Visit Shangluo" tourism route, 8 series of tourism preferential policies have been launched, covering various aspects such as ticket exemptions for scenic spots, annual travel card discounts, and consumption reductions, truly delivering culture to people's doorsteps and providing benefits to tourists.

It is reported that after the art festival, Shangluo will continue to promote the art festival repertoire in rural areas and scenic spots, carry out regular performances of outstanding literary and artistic works, create a never-ending art festival, and empower the development of Shangluo's cultural tourism industry in the long term.
