In China, a 35-year-old man was admitted to hospital with multiple needles in his heart, abdomen, pelvis, bladder and penis. The New York Post reports this.

The man went to the doctors and complained of discomfort when urinating and blood in the urine. However, he looked healthy, and his indicators were normal. The problem was revealed only by a CT scan, which showed that there were many needle-shaped metal foreign objects in his body.

The doctors were especially concerned about the sewing needle, which was found dangerously close to the heart. It reached 3.5 centimeters in length. Surgeons successfully removed it. The needle had been in the body for so long that it had rusted.

The doctors left the rest of the needles inside the man. In their opinion, emergency removal of all foreign bodies may cause too much harm to the patient. Doctors will monitor them and remove them gradually.
