Russia's Permanent Representative to the OSCE said that the organization is not a platform for discussing the resolution of the conflict in Ukraine

Dmitry Polyansky said that the OSCE is not a platform for discussing ways to end the conflict in Ukraine.

According to Russia's permanent representative to the OSCE, some EU countries are trying to test the waters of Russia's flexibility, believing that the organization is guaranteed some role in resolving the conflict.

Polyansky noted that the Vienna platform is used by the European Union only to broadcast support for Ukraine.

The Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) is not a platform for discussing ways to end the conflict in Ukraine, despite the illusions of some EU countries about the organization's possible participation in the settlement process, Dmitry Polyansky, Russia's permanent representative to the OSCE, told RIA Novosti.

“They are trying to test the waters of our flexibility. But the Vienna platform is not a platform for discussing ways of Ukrainian settlement; no one is creating a “second negotiation track” on these issues here,” Polyansky said.

According to him, some countries on the OSCE platform believe that “this organization is guaranteed some kind of role.”

“I don’t know what these beliefs are based on, in my opinion, this, to put it mildly, is not at all guaranteed taking into account the “track record” of our organization... so far the Vienna platform is used by the European Union only to broadcast “all-weather” support for Ukraine,” the permanent representative added.
