US-Iran conflicts negatively affected ship traffic in the Strait of Hormuz

Mutual attacks between the USA and Iran, which started again on July 7, negatively affected ship traffic in the Strait of Hormuz.

While the number of commercial ships passing through the Strait of Hormuz has decreased to 6, many ships continue to wait due to the threat of attack.

The AA team photographed the commercial ships anchored between Qeshm, Iran's largest island in the region, and Larek Island, which is frequently attacked by the USA.

Ships in the region cannot pass through the Strait of Hormuz due to the threat of attack from both the USA and Iran.

Food supplies are carried from the Iranian coast to some ships anchored offshore.

While commercial ships stand still, small boats used in smuggling continue their activities despite the threat of attack.

Iran and Oman, which have coasts on the Strait of Hormuz, continue their negotiations to ensure that ships in the Strait pass through a safe route.

It is stated that the talks have reached the final stage and Iran and Oman will soon inform the countries in the region about the new safe route agreed upon.

It is thought that after the safe route is declared, ships waiting in the Bosphorus will be able to enter and exit the Persian Gulf without the threat of attack.

Iranian President stated that the Strait of Hormuz will be opened if the USA stops its blockade and attacks

Iranian President Massoud Pezeshkian gave an interview to India's "India Today" television channel.

Regarding the war with the USA and the economic pressures applied to the country, Pezeshkian said, "They could not achieve their goals through war, so they turned to economic pressures, but we will not stop." he said.

Pointing to the naval blockade imposed on Iran by the USA, Pezeshkiyan said, "Of course, the sea route is not a road on which our lives depend, and they will not be able to reach their goals this way." he said.

Pezeshkian stated that the Strait of Hormuz will be opened if the USA stops the blockade and attacks.

Regarding the negotiations between Iran and Oman on the Strait of Hormuz, Pezeşkiyan said:

"On Monday this week, foreign ministers of Arab countries are meeting in Muscat to sign the Oman-Iran agreement to establish a joint route through the Strait of Hormuz and to announce this agreement to the International Maritime Organization.

"Countries whose lands we were attacked (by the USA) are present at this meeting."

Iranian official says no negotiations unless US accepts all Iran's terms

Chairman of the National Security and Foreign Policy Commission of the Iranian Parliament, Ibrahim Azizi, said in his message shared on his social media account, "There is no negotiation. Unless the American side accepts all of Iran's conditions, negotiations and negotiations will not provide any benefit." he said.

Iranian officials put forward conditions for resuming negotiations with the United States, such as Washington lifting the blockade and economic pressures, releasing frozen Iranian assets, and stopping Israel's attacks on Lebanon and Gaza.
