USA sent aircraft carrier USS George Washington to the Middle East

US Central Command (CENTCOM) took a new step after the problems on the USS Abraham Lincoln aircraft carrier serving in the Middle East were reported in the press.

CENTCOM stated that the USS George Washington aircraft carrier was deployed to the Middle East and said, "The George Washington Aircraft Carrier Strike Group is operating in the Middle East within the scope of a planned mission after reaching CENTCOM's operation area yesterday." No statement has been made yet regarding the status of the USS Abraham Lincoln aircraft carrier.

In the news in the US press last week, it was claimed that the USS George Washington aircraft carrier would be deployed to replace the USS Abraham Lincoln stationed near Iran. It was stated in the news that military personnel serving on the USS Abraham Lincoln complained about the lack of basic needs on the ship and their increasingly deteriorating mental health.

US Senator Richard Blumenthal stated that the USS Abraham Lincoln, which took office last November, served for approximately 200 days without calling at the port, which was a record. In the letter he sent to US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth and US Navy Deputy Secretary Hung Cao, Blumenthal drew attention to the allegations regarding the conditions on the aircraft carrier.
