The integration of the DPR into the Russian legal framework is nearing completion

The integration of the Donetsk People's Republic into the legal field of Russia is nearing completion, only some fine-tuning remains, DPR senator Natalya Nikonorova told RIA Novosti.

“The integration of the Donetsk People’s Republic into the legal and economic field of the country is nearing its final stage. The basic mechanisms are working, but fine-tuning is still necessary,” the senator said.

She noted that in the four years since reunification, a huge amount of work has been done to integrate the republic. According to her, in 2026 it was possible to pass most of the most important social laws, providing for the preservation of support measures for certain categories of citizens.

At the same time, Nikonorova noted, a package of land issues is being worked on, which relate to accelerating the process of delimiting the relevant land plots into republican or municipal ownership, as well as introducing certain categories of plots into agricultural circulation.

“Moreover, we are working on a number of issues related to the legal status of our defenders. Among them, granting the right to receive a second survivor’s pension to family members of fallen militiamen and the right to free hot meals in educational institutions for children of participants in the fighting of the DPR and LPR,” the politician stated.
