Minister of Justice Gürlek announced the findings of FETO/PDY connection in the EMIS system

Minister of Justice Akın Gürlek made a statement regarding the "Political or Military Espionage" investigation on his social media account.

"Those who carry out espionage activities against our state's financial intelligence network will be held accountable before the law." In his post, Minister Gürlek announced the details of the investigation.

Explaining that important findings have been reached regarding unauthorized transactions and the security of system records for the Integrated Financial Intelligence System (EMİS) used in the Financial Crimes Investigation Board (MASAK), Minister Gürlek said, "According to the investigations, the EMİS software has been developed by AGMLAB A.Ş. since 2012, and there is a partnership and management between this company and MRD A.Ş. and Barış Ata A.Ş., which was closed with the Decree Law No. 667." "Findings have been obtained that some of the partners of the companies with whom they have relations have assumed high-level responsibilities in the military and IT secret structures of FETO/PDY." he said.

"IT WAS DETERMINED THAT HE RUN ABROAD"

Minister Gürlek also explained that among these people there were names that were found to be operating at a responsible level in the secret structures of the organization's Navy, IT, defense industry and Gendarmerie, and said, "It was determined that a significant number of them went abroad before or immediately after the treacherous coup attempt of July 15. In the technical examinations carried out on EMİS, the protection system regarding the List of Politically Exposed Persons (PEP) was disabled, and subsequently, the information regarding our President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, his relatives and some ministers." It was determined that the interrogations were carried out.

Minister Gürlek noted that technical findings were also obtained regarding suspicious situations regarding the integrity of some records in the system and that some data fields may have been deleted later, and stated that it was determined that log (transaction) records that would enable retrospective auditing of the transactions of users with administrative authority (admin) were not kept.

Minister Gürlek continued as follows:

“All these findings; "It reveals a very serious picture that FETO/PDY not only infiltrated state institutions through personnel, but also may have gained access to the critical financial data of our citizens by structuring on the IT infrastructure of our state's most critical financial intelligence systems."

JUDICIAL PROCEEDINGS FOR 22 SUSPECTS

In the simultaneous operation carried out today in Istanbul and Ankara; Minister Gürlek announced that judicial proceedings were initiated against 22 suspects, including the person who served as MASAK Deputy Chairman at the time of the incident, and stated that 5 of the suspects were caught and taken into custody, an arrest warrant was issued for 16 of them, who were determined to be abroad, on charges of political and military espionage, and efforts were continuing to capture one suspect.

COMPANIES WERE SEIZED

Within the scope of the investigation, AGMLAB A.Ş. Minister Gürlek, who also announced that and MRD A.Ş. were seized by court decision and the Savings Deposit Insurance Fund was appointed as trustee, used the following statements in his post:
