Intervention in the action of the Platform of Families in Pursuit of Justice in front of the Ministry of Justice

The protest of the members of the Families in Pursuit of Justice Platform against the problems experienced in the cases filed regarding the buildings collapsed in the earthquakes of February 6, 2023, centered in Kahramanmaraş, continues on the 5th day in front of the Ministry of Justice.

Earthquake victims have been using the photos of the defendants of the Manolya Sitesi and Ezgi Apartmanı case with AKP President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan in the protest for 5 days.

Today evening, the earthquake victims were warned by the security forces on the grounds that "the President's reputation was damaged".

After the earthquake victims stated that they could not lift the banners, the security forces took the banners.

"THE REPUTATION OF THE PRESIDENT IS BEING DAMAGED BY TAKING A PHOTO WITH THE DEFENDANT"

Platform Spokesperson Döne Kaya said, "The character or personality of my family, who stayed in the rubble for six days during the February 6 earthquake, is not damaged. The reputation of the 53 thousand people who died on February 6 is not damaged. The reputation of the President who took a photo with the defendant responsible for the deaths in the Manolya Site is damaged."

Platform's Adıyaman Representative Celal Gezer said, "The person who really damaged the President's reputation is the owner of Kervan Patisserie, who is held responsible for the death of 35 people in Ezgi Apartment."
