16-year-old teenager is shot dead in a housing complex in Linhares

A 16-year-old teenager was shot dead in a housing complex in Linhares, in the north of Espírito Santo, on Friday night (6). According to police, the victim was identified as John Lennon Alves do Nascimento Guilhermino.

The minor was shot at Residencial Mata do Cacau, in the Aviso neighborhood. His death was confirmed at the scene of the crime and, until the last update of this report, no suspect had been arrested.

Victim was found lying on the floor

The Linhares Municipal Civil Guard received information about the homicide while patrolling the region, around 10:30 pm. At the scene of the crime, on Avenida Antônio Oliveira da Silva, the agents found the teenager lying on the ground, with injuries caused by gunshots to the head and chest.

The Mobile Emergency Care Service (Samu) was called and confirmed the death. The Military Police were also called and questioned people nearby about the dynamics of the crime and possible suspects, but did not obtain any information.

Case is investigated

In a statement, the Civil Police reported that the case is being investigated by the Specialized Homicide and Personal Protection Police Station (DHPP) of Linhares and that no suspect has been detained so far. The victim's body was sent to the Regional Legal Medicine Section (SML), in Linhares.
