Four are arrested on suspicion of kidnapping and killing a young man in a faction 'discipline' in RO

According to the corporation, the crimes occurred in the early hours of October 16. At the time, Kauan de Oliveira Gomes, 23 years old, and a 21-year-old girl were captured on a public street, gagged and forcibly taken by car to a rural area known as Linha 40.

Kauan's body was found two days later, on October 18. According to investigations, he was shot dead while his hands were tied behind his back. The young woman managed to escape and survived.

Investigations by the 1st Pimenta Bueno Police Station indicate that the crime was motivated by an internal punishment, known as "discipline", applied by members of a criminal faction.

Based on the evidence gathered during the investigation, the police asked the Court for the preventive arrest of those being investigated and the issuance of search and seizure warrants. The requests were authorized by the 1st Criminal Court of Pimenta Bueno, with a favorable opinion from the Public Ministry of Rondônia (MP-RO).

The operation was supported by the Military Police (PM), the Intelligence Center, the Kennel of the 4th Battalion of the PM and civil police officers from the Cacoal Regional Police Station. In total, more than 40 agents participated in the action. Investigations continue to locate the fugitive suspect.

In an interview with Rede Amazônica, the defense of three of the arrested suspects stated that the clients are innocent, that nothing illegal was found during the searches and that the evidence presented by the police is "minimal" in relation to their participation in the crimes.
