South Chungcheong Province develops its own agricultural business support system with generative AI

(Hongseong = Yonhap News) Reporter Kim Jun-beom = South Chungcheong Province announced on the 28th that it has developed its own agricultural work support system using generative artificial intelligence (AI) and is using it for field work.

Previously, provincial livestock and livestock officials developed the 'Agricultural Disaster Integrated Control System' (AgriBoard), which supports agricultural disaster work, and the 'Agricultural Product Supply and Price Integrated Monitoring System' (AgriMarket), which provides agricultural product price and distribution information.

Rather than requesting development from a specialized company like before, field officials directly design the necessary functions, screens, and data composition, and then implement the program using generative AI.

The so-called 'Vibe Coding' method of creating programs and correcting errors was used.

The province explained that the public officials in charge did not just use the program created by generative AI, but also supplemented the functions and screens by reviewing whether the functions were necessary for actual work and whether the person in charge could easily use them.

In the future, the province plans to expand system development to provide information on rural life services and manage the supply and demand of livestock products and prices.

Lee Seung-han, director of the provincial agricultural and livestock affairs bureau, said, "This is an example of using artificial intelligence as a tool to change work easily and efficiently beyond document writing or image production. We will increase administrative efficiency by incorporating artificial intelligence into the overall way of working."
