AK Party Deputy Chairman Ahmet Büyükgümüş, who attended the AK Party Istanbul Pendik District Consultation and Evaluation Meeting held in Yalova's Armutlu district, said that the political goals of their party are not to obtain personal authority and position. Stating that the AK Party is not a political movement established with the aim of reaching positions such as mayor, member of parliament or ministry, Büyükgümüş said, "Our concern, our struggle, is to realize our goals, which we express as the ideal of a great and strong Turkey, and which we raised the bar to a much higher level by calling it Turkey Century goals in our last elections."
Noting that they are working to increase the welfare and peace of citizens with municipal services as well as road, hospital, dam and school investments, Büyükgümüş reminded President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan of the words 'The world is bigger than five', expressed at the United Nations podium. Stating that people who commit unlawful acts or harm the nation's resources should be held accountable, Büyükgümüş drew attention to the importance of identifying those who were negligent or intentional in the negativities experienced. Büyükgümüş said, "We do not have the right to bring a single black mark into this blessed staff, regardless of whose rank, position or authority they are. We have the prayers and hopes of the nation and the oppressed behind us. We are doing politics for this."
'WE SEPARATE THOSE WHO FALLEN WRONG FROM OUR BODY'
Büyükgümüş underlined that even those who were afraid to investigate those who made mistakes regarding the fund issue would not be able to live among them from now on and said, "Hasn't there been anyone among us who made mistakes in the past? We separated them from our own body, we threw them away. Has anyone fallen into similar mistakes today? It happened. That very evening, we severed our relationship from membership, due to their duties, and put them aside? We did. Does the judiciary pursue the issue to the end in its own process with lawsuits and investigations? It does. If so, this is blessed." Where do they get the impertinence to criticize the staff and our leader Recep Tayyip Erdoğan? They go around the courtrooms and say, 'I gave you this much bribe in your office.' Can they hold you accountable for this? The Mayor of Antalya Metropolitan Municipality says, 'I gave you this much money to be a candidate again.' Can they hold him accountable for the immorality that took place in Uşak? "Can they ask? They can't. As long as they don't respond to any of the many immoralities regarding the municipal investigations that started in Istanbul, they don't address them, and they don't conduct a single investigation or investigation in their party, the country and the nation don't need a single word of morality to hear from them," he said.
'NO ONE CAN CAUSE DISTURBANCE BETWEEN US AND OUR NATION'
Büyükgümüş emphasizes that they do not need to learn from others who their friends are and what they do. "It turns out that their sentences are lies even before they are punctuated. There is no such thing. We need to think and take the steps we need to take very determinedly. No one can sow discord between us and our nation. No one can sow discord among us with their lies, slanders, dirty words masquerading as journalism. We are obliged to ensure that nothing that will harm this conversation will be successful. In every work we do, we work for morality, rights and the future of our nation. Politics "We see service to the nation as our sole goal. We do not have a morality that calls us a hero yesterday but a traitor today. We always move in this direction while governing the state and doing our organizational work," he said.
