Successful air-to-air firing test with SUNGUR missile from AKINCI TİHA

While the usage areas of unmanned aerial vehicles in the battlefield are expanding, the ability to perform different tasks on a single platform is also gaining importance. Unmanned aerial vehicles, which are used in attack missions as well as reconnaissance and surveillance, improve their capabilities in air combat through tests carried out with different classes of ammunition.

In this context, the new firing test of AKINCI TİHA (Assault Unmanned Aerial Vehicle), developed by BAYKAR, against air targets added a new one to the platform's ability to use different national ammunition.

In the test carried out in this context, the SUNGUR Air Defense Missile developed by Roketsan hit the target aircraft with full accuracy. Within the scope of the test activity, AKINCI took off from Çorlu Flight Training and Test Center in Tekirdağ and arrived at the test site on the Black Sea.

In the test carried out off the coast of Sinop, the target unmanned aerial vehicle cruising in the sky was accurately hit by SUNGUR ammunition fired from AKINCI. After the successful completion of the shooting test, AKINCI returned to Çorlu, following the planned route.

AMMUNITION RANGE IS EXPANDING

AKINCI, which had previously carried out air-to-air fires with the KEMANKEŞ 1 Artificial Intelligence Based Mini Cruise Missile, also successfully hit its target with the EREN High Speed Multi-Purpose Loitering Ammunition developed by Roketsan. AKINCI, which expanded its ability to use different classes of national ammunition against air targets with the use of the SUNGUR Air Defense Missile, demonstrated its ammunition diversity capability in air combat with its wide range of ammunition.

To date, within the scope of the development and ammunition integration activities of the national TİHA, Mini Smart Ammunition (MAM-L, MAM-L TV, MAM-T, MAM-T IIR/TV, MAM-C), TOLUN ammunition family, TEBER-81, TEBER-82, LAÇİN, LGK-81, LGK-82, HGK-82, GÖKÇE Guidance Kit, GÖZDE Güdüm The kit, KGK-82-SIHA, UHA-300 Supersonic Missile, UHA-230 Supersonic Missile, UHA-122 Supersonic Missile with TV seeker and laser seeker and ÇAKIR Cruise Missile were successfully integrated.
