Businessman Murder Indictment Accepted in Ankara

According to the indictment accepted by Ankara 33rd High Criminal Court, businessman Arıkan, who was killed in Keçiören on November 16, 2025, was taken to a picnic by his ex-wife Sultan Seki, his daughter H. Sude Arıkan and Mustafa Ünal. Arıkan was stunned by adding the active ingredient "xylazine" to his food and drinks during the picnic.

The indictment stated that Arıkan, who lost consciousness due to the effect of the drug, was brought to his ex-wife's house and laid on the bed, and it was determined that instead of calling an ambulance, the defendants injected a poisonous substance into Arıkan's heart and hip with a syringe and caused his death.

In the Forensic Medicine Institute report included in the indictment, it was emphasized that the definitive cause of death of the victim was "xylazine poisoning".

"I DID NOT PREVENT MY FATHER BECAUSE HE USED VIOLENCE ON US"

In the indictment, which also included the defendant's statements, Batuhan Arıkan claimed that his mother told him that they would meet with Mustafa Ünal on the day of the incident and that he had told him to take the poisonous drugs he had hidden beforehand.

"LET'S MAKE SURE HE DIES, I WILL PRESS MEDICINE INTO HIS HEART"

Batuhan Arıkan said:

"Mustafa added the medicine to my father's salad, ayran and cola at the picnic area. When my father drank the ayran, he asked, 'Why does it taste bitter?' Mustafa said it was normal. When we returned home, my father was in a daze. Mustafa made him drink the water and then took out the syringe from his pocket and stabbed it in my father's heart and hip, saying 'Let's make sure he dies, I will inject medicine into his heart.' I did not stop my father because he was violent towards us. I also did not stop the bloody athlete. We cut it and hid it."

The defendant, Sultan Seki, denied the accusation and said that his ex-wife constantly consumed alcohol and that when he came to his house on the day of the incident, he found Ramazan Arıkan motionless and performed heart massage.

The defendant, Mustafa Ünal, claimed that they went on a picnic with the victim on the day of the incident, but that he had nothing to do with the poisoning act. In the indictment, which stated that Mustafa Ünal's phone records were examined, it was noted that deleted messages on WhatsApp regarding the supply of the drug and conversations with other defendants that were subject to technical monitoring were detected.

In the indictment, it was stated that the defendant Ertan Ede, who allegedly procured the drug to kill the victim Arıkan, claimed in his statement that he sold the drugs as vitamin B12, not for the purpose of killing.

Defendant Ertan Ede also said, "I was just worried about eating Sultan Seki's money. He was looking for a medicine, called 'Dana Deviren'. He asked me to find a solution, but I did not give him a drug to kill." It was stated that he used the expressions.

In the indictment, it was stated that the defendant Sude Arıkan claimed that she called 112 after seeing her father bruised on the bed when she came home on the day of the incident, but according to the security cameras and 112 call records, it was determined that Sude Arıkan was also at home with the other defendants.

HE WILL APPEAR IN FRONT OF A JUDGE ON NOVEMBER 5

In the indictment, it was requested that the defendants Sultan Seki, H. Sude Arıkan and Mustafa Ünal be sentenced to aggravated life imprisonment for the crime of "premeditated murder", Ertan Ede and Özge Topsoy to be sentenced to 15 to 20 years of imprisonment for the crime of "assisting to deliberate murder", and the defendant Deliverye Çelik to be sentenced to 6 months to 5 years of imprisonment for the crime of "destroying, concealing or altering criminal evidence".

The defendants will appear before the Ankara 33rd High Criminal Court on November 5.
