The 'Digital Homeland Academy' training program, organized in cooperation with Ankara Social Sciences University (ASBU), Turkish Writers Union and Ankara Provincial Directorate of National Education, started today. The opening of the program to be held between 17-28 August; Minister of National Education Yusuf Tekin, Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Kübra Güran Yiğitbaşı, ASBÜ Rector Prof. Dr. Musa Kazım Arıcan, Digital Homeland Communication Coordinator Serdar Arseven and students attended.
The academy aims to raise responsible individuals with ethical and legal awareness in the fields of digital communication, media and content production, and to introduce young people to the responsibilities of the digital age.

Minister Tekin stated that he has given importance to national unity and solidarity issues since 2023, when he took office, and said, 'We started working as the Minister of National Education in June 2023. In fact, it is the nation that makes the country meaningful as a homeland, but what makes the nation meaningful as a value is the common values behind it, unity, solidarity and similar issues. Therefore, I have been referring to national unity and solidarity in this country since the day I started. "I am trying to fight against the things that stand in the way of achieving this," he said.
“WE ARE TRYING TO RAISE THE TRUST”
Tekin stated that the Ministry of National Education has undertaken an important responsibility in the education of children and said, 'Because everyone entrusts their children to the Ministry of National Education when they are only 66 months old, and we have been trying to protect this trust and raise this trust for 12 years. Therefore, the content of our curriculum and the conceptual framework we have built are very important. "While building this conceptual framework, issues such as national unity, solidarity, solidarity, patriotism, and protecting all elements of the country together are very important for us," he said.
'CYBER HOMELAND' MESSAGE FROM INTERIOR MINISTER ÇİFTÇİ
The message sent by the Minister of Internal Affairs, Mustafa Çiftçi, was also read in the program. In his message, Çiftçi emphasized that cyber security is the continuation of national sovereignty in the digital field. Çiftçi stated that 3 thousand 912 operations were carried out against cyber crimes in the first 7 months of 2026 and said, 'In the Cyber Homeland, there is no invisibility for the criminal and no immunity for the crime. Homeland is not just the land we live on. Homeland; It is our national will, independence, identity, culture, state, social rights and future. Today, a significant part of our state's institutions, our citizens' personal information, our financial systems, our communication infrastructure, and the lives of our children and young people exist in digital environments. Therefore, homeland defense is no longer carried out only on our land borders, seas and airspace. "And it continues uninterruptedly in the Cyber Homeland, where our identity and digital information reside," he said.

Pointing out that they do not see Cyber Homeland as a virtual space consisting of technical systems, Çiftçi said, 'Cyber Homeland is the continuation of our information sovereignty and public order in the digital field. Data security is what border security is. The border of the homeland is in the capital city, the border of sovereignty is in the places the state reaches. The mind of the state is strengthened by technology, and technology is meaningful to the extent that it protects people. We will also make the Türkiye Century the century of a safe, independent and strong Cyber Homeland. "We are building a Türkiye that produces its own technology, protects its own data, controls its critical infrastructures, fights effectively against digital crimes and raises awareness of its children against digital dangers," he said.
