Forest fires were taken under control in Antalya and Balıkesir

The forest fires that broke out in Antalya's Kemer district Çıralı location and Balıkesir's Sındırgı district Taşköy District were taken under control with the intervention of the teams from the air and land. Cooling works continue in both regions

The forest fires that broke out in Antalya's Kemer district Çıralı location and Balıkesir's Sındırgı district were taken under control as a result of the intensive intervention of the teams. While the fire in Çıralı was extinguished after approximately 4 hours of work, the flames spreading to the forest area in Sındırgı were also taken under control.

FIRE IN ÇIRALI WAS UNDER CONTROL IN 4 HOURS

A forest fire broke out around 11.30 in the Çıralı location of Ulupınar District of Antalya's Kemer district. While the steep terrain of the region made the intervention difficult, the teams intervened in the fire from the air and land.

As a result of intensive efforts, the fire was taken under control around 15.30. In addition to the teams, many volunteers also supported the extinguishing efforts.

Kemer District Governor Ahmet Solmaz, District Gendarmerie Commander Major Onur Yakan, Beydağları Coast National Park Manager Sezgin Örmeci and Forest Enterprise Manager Dilek Öztekin also followed and coordinated the work in the region. Cooling efforts continue in the region.

THE FIRE IN SINDIRGI IS ALSO UNDER CONTROL

The fire, which started in a non-forest area in Taşköy District of Balıkesir's Sındırgı district, spread to the forest area in a short time. Upon notice, many air and land vehicles were dispatched to the region.

40 personnel responded to the fire with 6 water tankers, 1 water supply vehicle, 1 helicopter, 4 aircraft and 2 work machines. In order to support the work, 7 water tankers, 3 water supply vehicles, 2 work machines and 3 helicopters were sent to the region.

As a result of the intensive intervention of the teams, the fire in Sındırgı was taken under control. It was reported that cooling efforts are continuing in the region.
