The Atlantic disturbance arrives: the end of the great heat with thunderstorms and a drop in temperature

The Atlantic disturbance that will put an end to the great heat that has characterized this summer is now upon us: strong thunderstorms and temperatures dropping by up to 8 degrees are expected between tomorrow and Friday. This is what Lorenzo Tedici, meteorologist at iLMeteo.it, confirms.

"Today - he states - the last real heat wave resistance will be recorded: in the North there will still be peaks of 35°C, while in the Centre-South the thermometers will mark peaks of 36-37°C". From tomorrow, thanks to the thunderstorms and the entry of cold air from the North, the mercury will drop rapidly, "The perfect example of this imminent change - he continues - will be Milan: from 33°C today, the city will drop to 26°C tomorrow". By the weekend, throughout Italy, maximum temperatures will be around 28-30°C everywhere.

The rains will begin as early as this evening between Eastern Liguria, Lombardy and the Alps. Tomorrow and Thursday the disturbance will affect the rest of the North in a more intense and widespread way, extending to the central regions on Friday. In this first phase, Southern Italy will mostly be spared from the more abundant phenomena, then from the weekend the worsening will also affect the south.

In detail: - Tuesday 8. In the North: sunny and hot; some showers in the Alps and in the late evening towards the western plains and then the Triveneto. In the Center: sunny with showers in the Apennines. In the South: sun and heat.
