Harsh response from Moscow to Europe's Ukraine plan: 'You have no place at the negotiating table'

In her written statement, Russian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Mariya Zaharova evaluated the fact that some European countries will organize a military exercise under the name "Koalicja 26.2" as part of the preparation of multinational forces planned to be deployed to Ukraine between 9-22 November.

Stating that Western countries do not want to take into account Russia's legitimate concerns in the field of security and continue to escalate tensions, Zaharova stated that England and France aim to create a base for the fight against Russia and inflict a military defeat on Russia by deploying multinational forces in Ukraine.

Emphasizing that the deployment of foreign military units to Ukraine is absolutely unacceptable for Russia, Zaharova stated that whether this is carried out under the umbrella of the "Coalition of Volunteers" or another formation will not change this attitude.

Zakharova stated that the deployment of foreign troops to Ukraine would amount to de facto military intervention and pose additional threats to Russia's security.

Stating that this will mean that European member countries of NATO will become more involved in the conflict and the tension will increase, Zaharova said, "Any military unit in Ukraine will be considered a legitimate target by the Russian Armed Forces. All the risks and consequences this will bring should also be taken into account."

Spokesperson Zakharova noted that attempts aimed at inflicting a strategic defeat on Russia will fail, and that all the goals set by the Russian administration within the scope of the "special military operation" in Ukraine will be achieved.

Stating that it is noteworthy that the exercise of the European countries was held just before the negotiations that will restart between Russia, the USA and Ukraine in Abu Dhabi, Zakharova said, "It is also symbolic that these exercises are started just before the resumption of the solution negotiations in the Russia-US-Ukraine format in Abu Dhabi. This once again confirms that the Europeans have no place at the negotiation table."

Trilateral negotiations between Russia, the USA and Ukraine are planned to be held in Abu Dhabi, the capital of the UAE, on November 10-11. Post-war security arrangements, reducing tension, humanitarian issues and steps towards peace will be discussed in the talks to be held under the mediation of the USA.
