HİSAR A+ Autonomous, jet-powered target hit

In the last shot made within the scope of the HİSAR project, the HİSAR A+ Autonomous system hit its target accurately. First, let's look at the details of the shot. The missile with an imaging infrared (IIR) seeker head fired from the system successfully destroyed the jet-powered target. The shooting activity was carried out under the coordination of the Presidency of Defense Industries.

The activity coincided with the 41st anniversary of the Presidency of Defense Industries. For this reason, President of Defense Industries Prof. Dr. Haluk Görgün made a statement. Görgün said that HİSAR A+ Otonom, the autonomous will of Gök Vatan, successfully hit its target. He also stated that the system once again proved its effectiveness in the field.

HİSAR-A was developed to protect armored and mechanized units and fixed units against air threats. The ground systems were prepared by ASELSAN and the missile by ROKETSAN. Moreover, the opportunities and capabilities of more than 200 domestic defense industry companies were utilized during the development and production process.

The task distribution is as follows:

Radar, command control and fire control systems: ASELSAN

Electro-optical systems and missile seeker head: ASELSAN

Missile: ROKETSAN

Warhead: TÜBİTAK SAGE

According to Görgün, the system brings all components together in a single vehicle. Therefore, it adds significant power to the air defense capability. Additionally, Görgün stated that they will continue to develop national and local capabilities in line with the goal of a fully independent defense industry. Range, altitude and configurations

The range of the system exceeds 15 kilometers and its altitude reaches 10 kilometers. However, the system is effective against air-breathing targets. It can also operate against unmanned aerial vehicles, cruise missiles and air-to-surface missiles. Therefore, the spectrum of threats is quite wide.

HİSAR-A has two different configurations. In the Missile Launching System configuration, the Fire Management Device carries out the detection, diagnosis, tracking, firing and command control tasks. The autonomous HİSAR-A can perform all of these functions on its own. So, in the second configuration, tasks are collected in a single system.

The missile's hardware is also particularly striking. HİSAR-A missile has an IIR seeker head, a double pulse solid fuel engine and vertical firing capability. Additionally, the IIR seeker detects the heat emitted by the target as an image. Thus, it can direct the missile to the target. The system is in the forces' inventory.
