HİSAR A+ Autonomous successfully hit the jet-powered target with its infrared seeker missile

In the shooting activity carried out within the scope of the HİSAR project, carried out under the coordination of the Presidency of Defense Industries (SSB) and the main contractor of ROKETSAN and ASELSAN, the missile with the imaging infrared (IIR) seeker head fired from the HİSAR A + Autonomous system successfully hit the jet-powered target.

Making a statement about the activity carried out on the 41st anniversary of the establishment of SSB, President Haluk Görgün said, "In the 41st proud year of our Presidency, the autonomous will of our Gök Homeland successfully hit the HİSAR A+ Otonom target. HİSAR A+ Otonom once again proved its effectiveness in the field with the imaging infrared seeker-headed missile it fired." he said.

Regarding the development process of the system, Görgün said, "The system, which is in the inventory of our forces and developed with the contributions of more than 200 domestic companies, strengthens our air defense capability by combining all its components in a single vehicle." he said.

Emphasizing the goal of a fully independent defense industry, Haluk Görgün said:

"Under the leadership of our President, Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, we will continue to develop our national and local capabilities in line with our goal of a fully independent defense industry. It can perform all its functions on its own.

The ground systems of the HİSAR-A system, which was developed to provide air defense of armored and mechanized units and fixed units against air threats, were developed by ASELSAN and its missile by ROKETSAN. The system HİSAR-A, which has a range of more than 15 kilometers and an altitude of 10 kilometers, is effective against air-breathing targets, unmanned aerial vehicles, cruise missiles and air-to-ground missiles.

Radar, command control and fire control systems, electro-optical systems and the missile seeker head were developed by ASELSAN, the missile by ROKETSAN and the warhead by TÜBİTAK SAGE.

HİSAR-A system has two different configurations. In the Missile Launching System configuration, detection, diagnosis, tracking, firing and command control tasks are carried out by the Fire Management Device. The autonomous HİSAR-A can perform all functions on its own, including detection, diagnosis, tracking, firing and command control.

HİSAR-A missile has an IIR seeker head, a double pulse solid fuel engine and vertical firing capability.

The Presidency of Defense Industries, established by Law No. 3238 on November 7, 1985, continues its work with the goal of a "fully independent defense industry" on its 41st anniversary.
