New regulation in social media law from Australia

AGE RESTRICTIONS ON PLATFORMS

The legal regulation regarding access to social media platforms by those under the age of 16 in Australia came into force on December 10, 2025. Within the scope of the regulation, 10 channels, including Reddit, Twitch, Threads and Kick, as well as networks such as X, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube and Snapchat, are subject to age restrictions.
